Brandon Duke grew up in the landscape industry and joined Juniper in 2008 after graduating with a Bachelor’s of Business Management from Liberty University.
Creating an innovative environment has always been his passion, and his creative nature has transformed the way Juniper does business. Brandon added design services to the Juniper repertoire because of his drive to provide Juniper clients the most diverse product offering. Juniper is one of the biggest buyers of landscape material in the southeast United States. Because of this, Brandon realized that a designer who has their pulse on the plant market is best suited to maximize value to the client. Brandon oversees day-to-day operations and is heavily involved in sales.
Under Brandon’s leadership, Juniper has experienced year-over-year growth. He has ushered in a new generation of Juniper talent and changed the way we do business today.
Brandon’s designs have been recognized by nationwide landscape magazines and he has been awarded numerous Sand Dollar, Pinnacle, Summit & Aurora awards in the construction industry.
Brandon enjoys spending his time off with family, riding motorcycles, and fishing.
Dan deMont joined the Juniper team in 2011. At the time Juniper had one branch but was preparing for growth. As the company's first business developer he focused on diversification in three categories. First, service offering. Second, client base. Third, footprint.
Dan and Brandon were the architects of Juniper's Design, Build and Maintain strategy. This caught like wildfire by 2012 as clients saw overwhelming value in having a sole source provider with full accountability. This value fueled rapid expansion of market share with existing clients and set Juniper up for an influx of new clients.
With that platform, Juniper added hundreds of clients over the next few years and balanced it's construction & maintenance business substantially between residential, commercial & government work.
Under Dan's leadership and in significant organic fashion, Juniper expanded into new geographic markets. Juniper's footprint covers the entire southern half of Florida and services their clients from 9 branches and counting. Juniper is solicited to new markets for the largest and highest profile jobs in the state.
Dan built and manages a team of talented landscape architects and client managers that share the company's vision and core values. Dan knows this is a people business and Juniper invests heavily in their people.

Dan is an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time with his wife and boys in the woods and on the water.
Chief Financial Officer
Robert has spent the majority of his 25+ year career serving middle market companies in financial leadership positions. His experience includes years with “Big 4” accounting firms, Nasdaq listed companies and strong growth focused entities. He has helped guide these businesses by implementing various financial and tax solutions that were in line with the company’s strategies and core values.He has specialized in service industry and construction companies during his career in the public and private sector.
Robert graduated Rutgers University as a Magna Cum Laude. After college he successfully obtained his CPA certification.
In his free time he enjoys golf, travel and time on the beach.
Vice President of Maintenance Sales
John Dougherty joined the Juniper team in 2016 after taking time off work to travel around the country in his Airstream. He has over 20 years of experience working throughout Florida in the fields of landscape maintenance, fertilization, pest control, landscape design, landscape installation, irrigation, and arbor care.
Adding to his years of experience, John also holds certifications as an ISA Certified Arborist, FNGLA Certified Horticultural Professional, FNGLA Certified Landscape Contractor, as well as a CAM license. His work as a Divisional Director of a Community Association Management firm helped to deepen his understanding of the challenges faced by community association boards, especially when it comes to their landscaping. John instructs 4 DBPR approved continuing education courses as well as conducting many hours of training programs on a variety of subjects for his team and board members.
In his free time, John enjoys traveling and spending time at Disney with his wife.
Director of Human Relations
Evelyn Maldonado is a bilingual (Spanish) human resources professional with over 30 years’ experience in employee relations, recruiting/staffing, compensation/benefits, management training and human resources compliance. She has comprehensive knowledge in employment law, investigative practices, negotiation strategies, policy and program design, immigration compliance/administration and performance management experience.
Throughout her career, Evelyn supported both large companies and entrepreneur organizations in varying industries and has experience supporting multiple locations and facilities in the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
She earned a Bachelors in Human Resources Administration from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Employment and Labor Law from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, PA. Evelyn is also an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
Evelyn enjoys being physically active and is an avid runner.
Director of Construction
Lew is a native Floridian and graduate of Florida Southern College with 20 years experience in landscape construction and 30 years in the horticultural industry.
Lew has been married for 32 years, has three children, and enjoys outdoor activities including gardening and baseball.
Director of Design and Estimating
Since relocating to Southwest Florida after graduating from LSU in 2006, Scott has been immersed in the landscape of the region. Scott has had the privilege of working in both multidisciplinary firms and with private practice landscape architecture firms. Among Scott’s time in Southwest Florida, he has also had the unique opportunity to bring his perspective as a landscape architect to local landscape contractors during his tenure as a construction estimator. Through these experiences, Scott has gained insight into what makes landscape architecture projects successful.
Scott has managed and designed numerous project types including: Streetscape, Commercial, Institutional, and Residential developments. His work includes landscape, irrigation, lighting, and hardscape design. Along with the design aspects of projects, he has also managed the permitting, construction estimating, and construction observation and administration of his projects.
Regional Director South
Nick Salerno has over 18 years of landscape, maintenance, and contracting experience. He is an FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professional (FCHP), BMP Certified, and holds a “turf management certification”.
Nick graduated “The Ohio State University” with a degree in turf grass management. He then moved to southwest Florida. Nick worked with a local landscape company and was quickly promoted to President of Field Operations after self-teaching himself the Florida landscape. Less than two years later, Nick became General Manager of a local nursery, sharing his passion for the Florida landscape with both retail and commercial clients. After three years of nursery management, Nick pursued his passion for turf management and started working in the golf course field as an assistant superintendent, quickly climbing his way to superintendent.
Nick has worked his way through many faucets of the landscape and golf course industry and is now Regional Director South for Juniper Landscaping.
Regional Director of Maintenance
Derek has been in the landscape industry for over 20 years. In addition to management, Derek has been involved in training, productivity, maintenance, estimation, design, and quality control of landscape enhancements as well as new installations.
He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. His certifications include: Certified Best Management Practices, FNGLA Certified Horticultural Professional, FCAP Community Association Provider, Florida DOT Maintenance of Traffic Certified, and State of Florida Department of Entomology & Pest Control Certified ID Holder.
His hobbies include spending time with his wife and kids, boating, soccer, and the outdoors.
